Overview

Documents is the selected client's onboarding library for files, Google and Office documents, reference links and outreach collateral. Materials sit in three sections: Lists, Strategy and Links. SalesHive staff also see which items are Internal only or Client visible, can filter by visibility and can change it on each row. New staff files start Internal only so drafts stay private until you share them. Client users see only client-visible material. Internal SDRs, restricted client user types and scheduled takeover preparation get a read-only view: they can open, download and refresh, but cannot upload, create, add links, change visibility, edit or delete. MP3 call recordings are stored as audio for authorized opening or download and are not transcribed into Playmaker text.

How to use this page

  1. Select the client

Pick the client in the client switcher. Every section belongs to that selected client. Use Refresh at the top of the page to reload all three sections.

  2. Review materials for a scheduled takeover

If you are the named incoming SDR, select the account marked Prep and its takeover date in the client switcher. Open or download materials in each section and use Refresh when needed. This view stays read-only, so ask your strategist to add or change resources.

  3. Upload one or more files

In Upload files, choose Lists or Strategy as the Section. Staff also choose Visibility, which starts at Internal only. Add optional notes, then select Choose Files or drop files on the panel, up to 25 MB each. Open Supported files to see the accepted types. Spreadsheets open in Google Sheets, and Word and TXT files open in Google Docs; you can still download the original. Check Upload results for the outcome of each file.

  4. Create a Google or Office file

Select Create in Lists or Strategy. Choose Google Sheet, Google Doc, Excel workbook or Word document, set Visibility if you are staff, enter a name and optional notes, then select Create spreadsheet or Create document.

  5. Add a reference link

Select Add link in Lists, Strategy or Links. Staff set Visibility first; it controls who sees the listing here, while the linked page keeps its own sharing settings. Enter a complete http(s) URL and an optional name and note, then press Enter or select Add link. Cancel link closes the form without saving.

  6. Share or hide a document

Staff can use All documents, Client visible or Internal only above the sections to filter the list. To change one item, pick Internal only or Client visible in its Visibility column. For a managed Google file, SalesHive also updates the file's sharing and shows Updating access... until it is confirmed. If the column says Access update incomplete, select Retry access update. Edit and Delete stay unavailable for that item until the change finishes.

  7. Import a TAM CSV into Lists

Select Import TAM CSV in Lists and choose a CSV template or company list up to 25 MB. It is stored as a reference file in Lists using the Visibility chosen in Upload files. Check Upload results to confirm it saved.

  8. Open, edit or download a material

Select the item name, or Open in Google Sheets, Google Docs or Open file. Download original saves the uploaded file. Select the pencil to change the name, section, notes or link URL, then Save. Only links can be moved into Links. Select the trash icon to delete an item after confirming.

What the buttons do

Refresh
At the top of the page. Reloads every section for the selected client.
All documents / Client visible / Internal only
Staff only. Filters the list by visibility. It does not change any document.
Visibility (new files)
Staff only, in Upload files, Create and Add link. Internal only keeps a new item private to SalesHive; Client visible shares it with this client.
Visibility column
Staff only. Shows each item's visibility and, for editors, changes it. Retry access update appears when a sharing change was not confirmed.
Choose Files
Uploads one or more supported files to the Section chosen in Upload files.
Supported files
Expands the list of accepted file types and how spreadsheets and documents open.
Upload results
Shows a success or error message for each file in the most recent upload.
Import TAM CSV
Uploads a CSV into Lists as a reference file. Available only when you can edit documents.
Create
Opens the form for a Google Sheet, Google Doc, Excel workbook or Word document in Lists or Strategy. Links has no Create button.
Add link
Opens the link form in Lists, Strategy or Links. Cancel link closes it without saving.
Open in Google Sheets / Google Docs / Open file / Download original
Opens the item's editor or file view, or downloads the original upload.
The pencil changes an item's details; the trash icon removes it after confirmation.
File processing details
Staff only. Appears under a file when SalesHive could not read its text, and explains why.
Prep [date]
In the client switcher, opens a scheduled takeover account for read-only preparation without changing your normal selected client.

Common questions

TXT, PDF, CSV, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, PNG, JPG, GIF, WEBP and MP3, up to 25 MB each. You can choose or drop several at once, and Upload results shows the outcome for each file, so one failure does not undo the others.
For staff, new uploads, created files and links start Internal only so working drafts stay private. Choose Client visible in the Visibility field before adding, or change the item's Visibility column when it is ready to share.
Only SalesHive teammates can see the item for this client. Client users see only Client visible material and do not see the visibility filter or column.
SalesHive started changing who can open a managed Google file but could not confirm the result. Select Retry access update to finish the same change. Until then, the item cannot be edited or deleted.
No. For a link, visibility only controls who sees it listed here. The linked page or file keeps its own sharing settings, so check them separately.
Yes, for readable files. Upload results says when a file was uploaded and its text extracted, when SalesHive is still reading scanned pages and pictures, or when text extraction needs attention. A text warning does not mean the upload failed. Staff can open File processing details under the file to see why.
PPTX uploads provide slide text and speaker notes. PPT files are stored, but their text cannot be read, so save them as PPTX or PDF and upload that version. For a deck made of pictures, export it as PDF and upload the PDF.
No. The MP3 is stored as audio. Authorized users can open or download it, but it does not become Playmaker text.
Use Lists for contact lists, DNC lists and working spreadsheets. Use Strategy for strategy documents, decks and briefs. Use Links for case studies, published articles and other pages the team can share in outreach. Links takes web links only.
No. It stores the CSV as a reference file in Lists. It does not enroll contacts or start outreach.
Internal SDRs, restricted client user types and scheduled takeover preparation use a read-only view. You can open, download and refresh permitted materials. Ask your strategist for additions or corrections.
Self-serve workspaces do not use the managed onboarding pages. Their Onboarding folder shows only Get set up, Users, and the Deal Room while a managed proposal is open. Opening Documents takes you to Get set up, or to Contacts if you cannot open the checklist.
